Mix and match kits
Good morning to all. Mix and matching bodykits is not stranger for Z modders as there is a lot of bodykits to choose from, available in the market for Zs. Some may result in a good simple line to an aggressive body lines. A few members of BZOCA have taken this route and accomplished well. Here are 3 examples of Zs mix and matching their kits.

Soundsystem upgrade 101
Good morning to all BZOCA members, readers of the blog and fans. Modding your Z can sometimes be difficult where parts are abundant in the market. A modder can choose a performance focused ride, a show focused ride or a balance of both to create their main goal.
On today's post as per topic, we will discuss on how a Z's stock soundsystem can be upgraded. The stock bose sound system is good enough for daily use however its still stock and has its limits. You can use the stock layout whereby you upgrade the bose player, speakers and subwoofer.
A Z's rear boot as you know is very spacious therefore modders can either go for an all show system (all boot space covered) to a subtle yet convinient system (partially covered boot space). As for any soundsystem upgrades, modders need to create their path on which route they want their system to be (going for soundquality, higher decibles or mix of both).
Here are some samples on how people go about in upgrading their soundsystem (pics are from my350z.com and cardomain.com). Bare in mind that the spare tyre have been removed in order to achieve the setups below except for the 1st pic.
Stock location
Upgraded parts to stock location. Bigger subwoofer and higher capacity amplifiers are installed.

Understrut location
The preffered location for those who still want to have boot space for storage. Amplifiers or other components can be stored either right infront of the subwoofer in the floor section or at the back of the subwoofer facing the front windshield.
1.2.

3.

1. 1 subwoofer with interior colour match
2. 2 subwoofers to give more grunt
3. 1 subwoofer with lightings
Rearstrut location
Another location that provides good sound and space. As for this setup, cost it minimal in terms of using fibres or subwoofers enclosers as it only occupies the corner of the rear boot. Amplifiers and other components can be placed anywhere according to the owner's preferences.
1.2.

3.

1. 1 subwoofer
2. 1 subwoofer with different amp locations
3. 2 subwoofers with amps displayed in the middle
Frontstrut location
Another good setup utilising sapce infront of the strut by filling with subwoofer enclosures and placing the other components in the rear. Not that common setup but yet effective.

Spare tyre location
Another location that a modder can utilise is the spare tyre space. this setup is mainly for those who still want their original boot space intact. Depending on the products used, the stock look can be achieved or the floor may be raised a bit to accomodate the components installed.
1.2.

1. All parts under one floor
2. Smallers subs to accomodate higher capacity amps
Custom design
Last but not least, modders that goes for all show and less storage boot space. There are so many custom deigns to choose from, here is just a sample.
1.2.

3.

1. 2 huge subwoofer with inthe amp located upfront
2. 3 subwoofers filling the rear boot
3. Major custom design
Well thats all for now. Giving a few insight to upgrading your Z's soundsystem. Pick your route carefully and use quality parts for a long term satisfaction use. More teaser to come on the topic itself by our members so stay tuned.

BZOCA approved rims of the week
Good morning readers and members. For Z owners rims preferences, decision is crucial as there are so many aftermarket wheels in the market. Preferences may make or break the looks on any Zs. Some owners may go for show (big diameters = heavier) or go for performance (small diameter = lighter).
However, Volk racing wheels Japan has the solution. Z owners may select a show and performance wheels in 1 package. For this week's BZOCA approved rims, it goes to Volk Racing CE28N.
It has 2 designs; 8 spokes model and 10 spokes model. The design and build quality of CE28N satisfies the looks department and also the light weight department.

BZOCA approved rims of the week
Hello readers and members, this week's BZOCA approved rims goes to Volk Racing GTS. This rim is the most popular chosen rim in the USA and will be an all time favourite but none are used here in Brunei. The design is a classic 5 spokes but with more details than you might think plus with a deep lip, this sure is a head turner on any Zs.So any BZOCA members out there can put this rims in their wishlist.
