Tyres recommendation

Good morning BZOCAs and readers. As stated from our previous post, tyres are the very most important factor on a ride to be taken seriously as it is the main contact point for your ride and the road. Going for cheaper tyres just for the sake of saving is not advisable.

Since this is still a bonus month and hopefully theres some money left ;), spend extra on your tyres. For those who recently purchased new rims or wanting to change their old tyres, here are some tyres used by BZOCA members for now.

Michelin PS2

Yokohama Advan Sport

Bridgestone Adreneline

Bridgestone SO3

Falken FK-452

I'm running the Falkens, I have to say its a decent tyre. Grip is above average and the wear is not as bad as other performance tyres.

Good all rounder, the only let down is the noise that comes when the wear begins to show.

DO NOT FORGET...

To get a camber kit and see an alignment specialist, they can save you cash, which could be spent on performance mods ;) haha :p

The fact is that the bigger the "longkang" the noiser the noise..

Not forget that the road cond's here in our country.. hmm may be grade C punya road type..

Im running the yokohama advan v103. It makes my Z stickier on roads especially running thru bends in jangsak roads. My Z is a daily drive ride, been using the tyres since June 2007 and the rears are wearing to its safety level. Fronts are still good condition. Might try the michelin but it costs an arm n a leg :(

ps: survey tyre shops around brunei, prices can differ a whole lot plus ask them for extra services i.e chamber/alignment to include with the price :)
