nice teaser..ok who can answer my question.what is advantage and disadvantage to customise exhaust like this?what is better customise or buy the aftermarket brand?

Anonymous said...

Top of my head

Advantages:
1)No need to wait for shipment arrival :)
2) Better pricing as Yen is up
3) Any damages or leaks can go back to the builder

Diadvantages:
I think the owner should contemplate abt this.

In terms of which is better to buy is up to you after proper research ;)

Ill inform later after, whats the disadvantages...after some period of time.

Advantages:
1.It sound like it made in Japan
2.Looks Like it made in Japan
3.Look like its made by Japanese Guy.
4.I can what ever tag on it, e.g: HKS, ARC, TOp secret..kekekee

hehe and it is one and only in bzoca for the moment hahaha

For every action their is an equal or positive reaction... Newton's Law of something or rather...

The owner of this custom build did it very wisely. The disadvantages have been minimised, yet if you were to build your own there are some things you need to look into.

First and foremost, you need to make sure the diameters of the exhaust provide optimum scavenging.

This is what happens when the exhaust gases leave the engine, it heads out through the exhaust pipe in waves (think sound waves) as it leaves the pipe, a force acts on what's left in the exhaust system, pulling the rest of it out.

The diameter used is one which is accepted universally as good for NA vehicles. ANY LARGER and you might not get the same effect. It may also slow down the exhaust velocity and in turn provide back pressure.

BACK PRESSURE IS NOT GOOD, sometimes people mistake back pressure for something else and attributing it to a good midrange, they are thinking about exhaust velocity.

Too small a diameter and the system is restricted. Any bends or right angles are considered restrictions too.

So if you're going to design something like this, make sure you read up and go to the right people to have it built.

:)

Friend of Owner, who has gone through some exhaust systems :p

Kastam exhaust tah banar... hehe..

Nice work bro, especially when the exhaust is done by a surgeon (see pic) :D

I had parts of my exhaust system done by this fella who is also a good friend of mine, and after years of using it, i must say:

1. No complaints on workmanship
2. No complaints on materials used
3. At times, better at certain components compared to the aftermarket parts

Some additional advantages:
1. You get to design your own set-up Dual/Y
2. You get to choose what material/component you want
3. You get a perfect fit with your current set-up (esp rear bumper)
4. Last but not least... you're supporting our Local Business Development (LBD) hehe!!!

Good one bro, should be out for a cruize soon!!

Nicely done! Looks like the fabricators know their way around pipes ;)
For me reason for aftermarket's usual higher price are hype, material and R&D.
Exhaust customisation works well as long as mentioned pipe diameter and of course mandrel bends are managed accordingly.

so sayang eh... driving a good car, exhaust custom made.

malu eh....

Anonymous said...

hahaha.. what to do, rather then you go hutang here and there.. just to make urself look good lagi MALU bro... ahahhahahah

DeNeZee said...

Anonymous, urg custom made atu bukan pasal inda beduit... inda bisai comment mcm atu eh.

Why not you post some picture of your car and let us comment rather than post these negative comments and stay anonymous... mana tau bisai, dapat jua kami belajar...

Fyi, masa ani banyak dah barang custom:

1. Sound system (Custom made to suite the owners theme - eg MuscularZ)
2. Rims (most of BZOCA rims custom made kali ah - E.g Works Miester :))
3. Body kits (Custom made to have different looks then the rest)
Just to name a few lah...

BTW, have you even participate or attended a car show? banyak yg custom made jua tu sana ah...

I salute my good friend for making the custom made exhaust... it just show his initiative, passion & freedom by expressing what he like as an individual.

FYI, race cars or even F1 semua atu pun banyak custom made tu, mana ada bejual di kadai. (Baju melayu pun custom made di kadai kaling hahaha... unless you buy yg ready made di Hua Ho :))

Only by looking at things from different dimensions will you be a more versatile, respected and knowledgeable individual.

My advise is, go out and face the real world and welcome to the 21st century where individuals strive to be different in many ways to succeed and stand out far above from those who rather stay anonymous and rot in their own grave.

bah, bibiran ku plang nah (must be the medication i'm taking hahaha...) I rest my case :)

Denezee: Point well presented bro... n another thing, economy menurun hahaha, try ordering a set of exhaust frm Jpn now, prices increased significantly due to high exchange rates... mine went up ard $600 to give an example...

The problem is u are using STEEL instead of stainless steel.

If u ask su su hao... for custom made... i salute u... but kampung one...haiz... good car with lousy piping.. seriously... its embarassing.. why post it... tanabe costs $2k even second hand 1 cost $1k..

Post my car...?? i have many.. and gone through.. i even have what ur driving now. using TANABE. Thats why it is seriously emarassing

u must be the 2626 guy... small bah brunei.. everybody know everybody hahahaha

DeNeZee said...

Kudos to anonymous for missing the point! lol

Let it be stainless steel, steel, titanium, platinum, aluminum, millennium, iridium, calcium, magnesium, wood or recycled toilet paper for all I care. If it works, why not. I won't be influenced by marketing gimmicks, most important is the feel good feeling in ourselves. :D

Btw, good choice on your TANABE :)

Oh crap....! My medication is kicking in again! :D

So good day to all BZOCA members and readers and enjoy the rest of the weekend with your rides! PEACE!

Anonymous, I wouldn't speculate that the anonymous is 2626. It wouldn't be right to judge just bcos he mentioned he uses the tanabe.

Anyone can say that and I wouldn't want to conclude lah k :D

It's not fair to 2626 atu, mana tau nama ja kana pakai :)

MuscularZ, thanks bro. Inshyallah i'll be back soon, better than ever. Mesti rajin teraphy ja hehe....

It's getting hot in here bro... kuar dulu hehe... ;)

great job on the kastam ekjos!
i've been a regular costumer to c "ah chong" (gelaranku utk the sho owner)since ia alum tedpt stainless steel. never had a complain.

for me ah, as long as org atu mod his car tanpa ngacau org (esp. ngacau usin dgn) asalkn sama2 bahagia.

steel & stainless one nothing much diff in terms of exhaust's sound tone, but in terms of tagar menagar kalah tah steel tu haha. in terms of temp, stainless are hotter (lurus ka?aku nda pandai science ni). so kn buat custom piping alang2 go 4 stainless lah for long term.

brand - for me, it is just a name.

juz my seposen. nxt yr barutah 20sen.
